THE NIGHT BEFORE

Posted in General

Thursday 24th of November sees a new development at the hugely popular Cash Converters Players Championship Finals being held at Butlins in Minehead. Growing demand for customers to check in on Thursday as opposed to Friday 25th - avoiding the usual booking in traffic involved with processing 5800 guests - has created scope for JBD to stage a major darts exhibition on the Thursday evening and entertain 1500 guests. The four hour show will involve Eric Bristow MBE, Bobby George along with ITV4 commentary team and former PDC pros Chris Mason and Alan Warriner-Little. Accompanying the darts players are hugely popular Sky Walk on girls Daniella Allfree and Charlotte Wood. Also appearing on the night is highly talented actor and comedian Ricky Grover who is probably still best known for his part playing Andrew Cotton in Eastenders. Ricky, who appeared on BBCs children in need last night is incredibly busy at the moment. Recently he has appeared in the pilot remake of Porridge starring Kevin Bshop who ironically played PDC charmain Barry Hearn in the BBC snooker drama Rack Pack. Viewing figures for the pilot show were immense and a new series including Ricky has been scheduled for the new year. We are also delighted to be joined by the PDC dancers for the first time at one of our events. World famous rock band Coldplay will also have an influence on the show. For the first time we will be using Xylobands, multi coloured neon wristbands used at most major Coldplay gigs throughout the world. Frontman Chris Martin and Coldplay have a stake in the Wiltshire based company and we look forward to seeing the effect they have on our events in the next 12 months. Doors open : 7pm. Venue: Centre Stage
