HAMILTON MAKES THE PREMIER LEAGUE

Andy Hamilton has had no time to bask in the glory of his magnificent World Championship run.  Only 24 hours after his heroic defeat in the final of the World Championship against Adrian Lewis, Hamilton has been awarded a place in Sky's prestigious Premier League.  The announcement was made last night by PDC Chairman Barry Hearn at the prestigious PDC awards dinner at the Dorchester Hotel. The competition which starts on February 9th and runs for 15 weeks will see the winner walk away with a cheque for £150,000.00.It is Hamilton’s first time in the competition and he will relish the challenge appearing against World Champs Lewis, Phil Taylor and Raymond Barneveld as well as Gary Anderson, James Wade, Kevin Painter and Simon Whitlock.Andy who has also risen to a career high number 7 in the World will now take a well deserved fortnights break before the season gets under way again on January 28th in Spain.
